Youth Pastors and Leaders

Hey thanks for visiting! We appreciate your desire to connect youth in their next season. Whether it be with Chi Alpha, or another camp ministry or church, this hand-off can be critical. Below are some ideas to assist you in helping them in their preparation and making the connection.

  1. Prepare them for the next thing - consider getting with your Juniors and Seniors and hosting a “next steps” group that talks about challenges they will face. Consider some of the topics and resources here:

  2. Help get them connected

    • Get to know the Campus Ministry Director on that campus or in the area.

    • Take students to visit the campus (if possible) and meet up with the Chi Alpha team. Consider visiting a Chi Alpha meeting with them.

    • Make sure the parent(s) know about the campus ministry options.

    • Once on campus - follow up - ask how the student is doing and wether they have connected to a faith community.

A list of Campus Hubs and directors can be found here.

Additional Connection Points with Chi Alpha

  • If you or your church are interested in reaching a campus in your community that does not have Chi Alpha, please reach out to Steph Peterson. She is our Development Director and can help you with strategy and provide resources.

  • If you are ever considering a move and would like to explore opporuntiires with Chi Alpha, we would love to talk with you. We have had several youth pastors become Chi Alpha missionaries through the years. You can contact Mike Amiot directly.
