Identity and Calling - Sevo Lwali (Upper Classroom 1/Choir Room)

As missionaries, we have an identity and a calling that need to be solid if we are going to be impactful long term in reconciling students to Christ on our campuses. However, the seasons of life, the issues, situations you face daily, the pivots that need to be made as we navigate the secular campus, influence our view of ourselves and why we do what we do. We understand that Jesus is the reference point and standard for us as missionaries, but at times other factors impact the indicators that orient us in our identity and calling. Come to this workshop as we discuss a healthy understanding of your identity and calling for the long haul.

Poverty – Suzanne Hurst w/Africa Oasis (Upper Classroom 2)

It’s important to reflect on our own ideas/thoughts towards poverty and the poor if we are going to work with the poor and possibly work to alleviate poverty.

Biblical and Organizational Discipleship - Josiah Negron (Youth Auditorium)

Many of us love and are a product of discipleship. But, are our ministries truly built around discipleship? Or, as we’ve progressed, have we looked for a solution outside of pure discipleship to develop our ministries? In this breakout, we’ll do our best to make a case for discipleship at the biblical and organizational level. We’ll discuss what Jesus required of those whom he bade, “follow me” and how discipleship must be the scaffolding which we build our ministries on, if we hope for it to last long after we’re gone.
